My desired goal is to equip and inspire you – whether through speaking or writing – to remember what’s been shared, so that your life – or someone else’s – can be improved, made well, or kept safe. Caring and treating the ill or injured is a good thing to do. I believe it's a God Thing!
I want to reach Christian men and women (age teen and up), who know the love of God and the value of life, to learn, or learn more, the knowledge and skills of first aid; how best to care for the ill or injured. I invite Christian men and women not only to learn first aid, but to also discover the truth that God created first aid and also models first aid for us, so that we will join with God (Elohim – God of Three) in offering compassion, kindness and good-will to any person regardless of their ethnic, political, religious, or social differences. When we do that we are “loving our neighbor as yourself.” For the best way to show God our love and devotion to Him is to treat any human being as though they were made in God's image (because they are).
Consider that the Bible addresses first aid-related topics like:
- Rescue breathing, Severe bleeding, or CPR
- Situational awareness, Comfort-care, and The Messiah Complex
- Substance abuse, Environmental emergencies, and Value to life
- God's perspective, or best way to treat eye injuries
- Musculo-skeletal injuries (Spain, Strain, Dislocation, Fracture), or Heart, Stroke, Seizures
- And so much more...

A safety and wellness specialist, Shawn blends over 30 years of first-hand experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Shawn adds to that Fifteen years in Licensed Massage Therapy (LMT), and several projects as an on-site safety specialist. Shawn naturally sees links with things that don’t initially appear to be linked. But more on that in a moment. Shawn’s writing started 25 years ago when he was asked to write a few safety articles, mostly first aid related, while involved with a safety training agency in Seattle, WA. It was a task that needed to be done. But a few years later he was compelled to write monologues about lesser-known biblical characters and has performed some at various Christian events.
Over the past decade his writing has focused on these two seemingly unrelated topics of First Aid and intimacy with God which Shawn sees intertwining extensively. And in 2022 Shawn was commissioned to write a first aid manual for Sister Connection, a Christian organization who raises up widows and orphans in Burundi, Africa. http://sisterconnection.org.
This has compelled him to return to an idea that was conceived in 2020 of writing a first aid manual which blends current international guidelines with the timeless truths of God’s Word to show that God is the originator of all good gifts including the care for an ill or injured person.
